Day Before the First Day

Well, as the title says, it's the day before my first day of classes, and I've already started on homework! It's a bit crazy. But I'm not sure how much homework I'm going to get this week, so I'm getting some stuff out of the way. I got through the first chapter of my communications book: Effective Presentations. And after our hall meeting, I am now the person set to decorate all of the doors on people's birthdays. That's 50 or so girls! Anyways, tomorrow should be interesting being the first day of classes!

The Beginning

This past week a lot has changed. I've moved into my dorm for my first year of college at Purdue University and I survived the amazing orientation experience of Boiler Gold Rush (Boiler Up!). School is about to start Monday and from everything I've heard it's going to be a really difficult year for me. The First Year Engineering program at Purdue is supposed to be incredibly hard. This semester I'm taking COM 114, which is a speech class, Chemistry, Calculus, and a few Engineering courses. I'm actually really excited for classes to start. One of the things I'm looking forward to the most this year is my EPICS learning community class. It's a community service learning community and I'm really happy I'm going to be involved in it. With classes starting next week and all of the sporting events that I would like to go to, I'm sure to be really busy, but I'm going to try to keep this updated as often as possible.
